The EDI Committee at Toronto Cat Rescue would like to hear from members of the public who have interacted with Toronto Cat Rescue, adopters, volunteers, donors, and others, regarding your experiences related to EDI. The purpose of the committee is to identify and work to eliminate systemic barriers to participating in TCR (Equity), ensure that TCR is representative of the communities where we work (Diversity) at all levels of the organization and that individuals representing historically marginalized groups (due to race, disability, sexual orientation, Indigenous identity, gender, age, etc.) feel welcome, included and valued members of Toronto Cat Rescue’s community (Inclusion). Tabby is available for the Senior adoption fee of $125 Are you that one special person for Tabby? While she’s not a fan of being picked up, she does like chin scratches and will rub up against your legs if she’s in a mellow mood. Tabby does have a secret soft side, and loves a cuddle from time to time. The problem is, we don’t want Tabby to live in the staff room forever (as much as we love her!), and we are searching for a super calm, patient, and experienced person to give Tabby what she needs to feel safe and relaxed. She is not for the faint of heart – she needs someone who will respect her boundaries, and ideally someone who does not have other pets or a busy household.

Prince is available for the Special Needs adoption fee of $50 Nothing Compares 2 the love that this sweet senior boy will provide! He’ll tell you all about how he doesn’t love to be picked up or get his daily insulin shots, but he’s all talk and no scratch. When Doves Cry, he’ll have a window-side seat to do his birdwatching, or watch the Purple Rain falling from the sky! Just like his namesake, Prince loves to do some singing. Prince – or the Cat Formerly Known as Prince, as his foster mom calls him – would like to request that his new home contain many sunny windowsills for his lounging pleasure. Some may call him ‘The Most Beautiful Cat in the World’, and there’s no doubt that Prince is a looker! He happily coexists with a dog and several other cats in his foster home, and loves to be close to his people (although he doesn’t consider himself a lap cat). Margot is currently staying with a foster family, please contact the Adoption Department at 40 ext 113 for more information Margot is available for the Special Needs adoption fee of $50 This sweet, mischievous, and affectionate girl would love nothing more than being close to her people in her forever home. These may be special considerations, but they are totally do-able, and so worth it to bring a loving companion into your home! Margot is spending time in foster care where she lives with two small dogs, and she may also be open to sharing her new home with another FeLV+ kitty. This means protecting her from stress, feeding a high quality diet, and addressing health problems as soon as they arise very important. Margot has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). She expects all the head and tummy rubs in the world! Margot rolls around to make sure you get all her angles so she can get as much love as possible. Puff & Peanut are staying with our friends at PetSmart Cochrane, stop by for a visit! Adopt me! These two fun, loving and playful girls are sure to be adopted fast so come on down and meet them today! She loves to be on top of it all, & it was her penchant for always being on top of the kitten pile that lead to her name, Peanut, inspired by the Peanuts cartoon of Snoopy on his doghouse. Peanut is the baby of the family and a beautiful little creature with her grey nose and the softness of a bunny! She is curious and independent, but also likes to sit on a lap or next to you on the couch. She has a most beautiful soulful little face and loves being a lap kitty. It may have been a missed opportunity that these two were not named Puff and Pastry, but Puff and Peanut still suit these little ladies well! They were born and raised in a loving foster home and are super sweet kittens! Puff is the first born & a very accomplished kitten, leading the way in adventuring & kitty litter training.
